Bubble, bubble….tea, tea?!

So, I have decided that I will start a bubble tea (bbtea) blog! I have decided to order different types of bbtea wherever I go if it is offered!

BBTEA FACTS:(for those who don’t know what bbteas are)

  • Most bbteas are made from powder/syrup, thus they have very high sugar content and lots of calories!
  • There are bbteas made from real fruit, so make sure to read the menu to specify whether it’s made from real fruit or not. You can always ask as well!
  • You can have bbtea without the tea or the “bubble” aka pearls.
  • Other than having milk tea, there are slush, ice creams, etc. and there are other fillers other than pearls.  There are coconut jelly, pudding, mango stars, etc.
  • They are extremely yummy if you find the right combination for yourself!

The first bbtea post will be from BUBBLE WORLD.

-Lemon Jelly with no pearls-

What inspired me to order this certain drink is that, recently, a friend of mine ordered Coffee Jelly from Marulilu Cafe, and I wanted something similar. So, BAM!  Lemon Jelly it is!

And of course, I forgot to take a before photo!

However, I was sadly disappointed when I got it.  It reminded me too much about this Filippino drink that I could’ve made at home.  It was in essence, Water, lemon syrup, jellies, and ice. I could have just saved the $5 and make it at home.

Another thing, make sure you ask for a spoon for the jellies (aloe, I believe) are HUGE! They don’t really fit through the straw.  The jellies are tasteless and about halfway through, I got tired of eating them.

Ultimately, I didn’t finish the jellies.

Verdict: Don’t even bother getting it. You can just make it at home.

You can buy a calamansi syrup from any Filippino/Asian store and mix it with water.  If you put a generous amount, then there is no need for sugar. If you want to save, then you can add a little bit and compensate with sugar.  It’s quite good ice cold.

Squeezed 4 U is a good brand. However, there are other brands out there that are just as good.

You may not be her first, her last, or her only. She loved before she may love again. But if she loves you now, what else matters? She’s not perfect - you aren’t either, and the two of you may never be perfect together but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold onto her and give her the most you can. She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but she will give you a part of her that she knows you can break - her heart. So don’t hurt her, don’t change her, don’t analyze and don’t expect more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know when she makes you mad, and miss her when she’s not there.

Because we all love Alice in Wonderland…

Alice was a good girl.

She was a very good girl.  She never got into trouble, always followed what she was told, and she always ate her vegetables.  She always listens.  Except for that one time she snuck out of bed to go see her mommy downstairs.  Alice tippy toed her way into the library because she wanted to surprise her.  The door slightly ajar, with the light spilling out, Alice peeked.  Her mommy was against a bookshelf with a man in front of her with his trousers down to his legs, his ass gleaming from the lamp nearby.  Alice frowned.  Her mommy was begging the man.  Alice didn’t know why she was begging and for what.  She didn’t feel like surprising her mommy anymore.  Alice walked back, she was sure her mommy wouldn’t hear her anymore.  She never snuck out of bed again.

Alice was a good girl, really.

Her Nana told her not to talk to strangers.  But he wasn’t a stranger.  Alice stared at the white rabbit in suit.  He was tall.  He said his name was the Easter Bunny.  Alice smiled toothily and introduced herself with a curtsy.  Now they were friends. Mr. Easter Bunny held out his hands and Alice looked on with delight.  Chocolate eggs!  Mr. Easter Bunny said she was a good girl, so he was giving her chocolates.  Alice liked being called a good girl, so she accepted the chocolates and ate it carefully, making sure that her blue dress wouldn’t be stained.  Her mommy wouldn’t like that.  She licked her hands clean.  Alice frowned, she was not feeling so well.  Her world spun and she looked up to Mr. Easter Bunny for help.  She blacked out.

Alice is a good girl.

Alice woke up to a bed, and she didn’t know where she was.  She gasped.  Mr. Easter Bunny’s head was on the ground.  A man stood beside it in a suit.  She wonders what happened to Mr. Easter Bunny.  The man walks towards her, underssing himself.  He tells her that she’s a good girl, so she listens as her blue skirt is being pushed up.  He shushes her as she whimpers.  He pushes her pretty blonde locks away and tells her not to make a sound.  Alice stays quiet.  She was about to cry out due to the pain between her legs, but the man whispers how much of a good girl she was.  So Alice stayed quiet because she always listened to what adults said.

Alice was a very good girl.
